David's first introduction to the Master Kuthumi came during a three-month Summit University class in 1975, where he immersed himself in the Master's teachings on prayer and meditation. Through these sacred transcripts, David's understanding of communion with God was both challenged and elevated into a deeper, more mystical awareness. The sweetness and penetrating wisdom of Kuthumi's words stirred ancient memories within David's soul, awakening a sense of recognition that would shape the course of his spiritual life.
Years later, while serving in Colorado and Montana, David experienced profound mystical encounters that confirmed his inner connection with this World Teacher. During a Sunday service, as a simple devotional song to Jesus and Kuthumi was sung, David was lifted into an ecstatic state of divine union and bliss. Shortly thereafter began the flow of inspired messages—first from Jesus and then from Kuthumi—received through sacred locution, a grace known within the Catholic mystical tradition. These transmissions would unfold over decades into thousands of HeartStreams, forming the spiritual foundation of The Hearts Center Community and its global ministry of prayer, meditation, and song.
The messages contained within this book arise from that sacred stream of communion. Beginning in 2004 with "If You Would Be Peace, Master the Art of Pure Silence," and later blossoming into the concise and potent "Kernels of Kindness," Kuthumi's dictations radiate the divine quality of loving-kindness that so uniquely characterizes his aura. His guidance addresses the cultivation of inner stillness and mastery of personal psychology, and also the embodiment of peace as a living presence that blesses families, communities, and nations.
David reflects upon Kuthumi's illustrious lifetimes—recognized in Theosophy and mystical tradition as Pythagoras, Saint Francis of Assisi, Shah Jahan, Thutmose III, and Kuthumi Lal Singh, co-founder of Theosophy—as threads of light woven through history in service to divine wisdom and peace. From the humility of Assisi to the splendor of the Taj Mahal, from the mystery schools of Greece to etheric retreats in Kashmir and Shigatse, the Master's life-current has consistently embodied brotherhood, beauty, courage, and compassionate strength.
In these pages, readers are invited to study his words and to enter his living field of light to discover within themselves the same radiant potential for loving-kindness that can transform both heart and world.
