The 5 Platonic solids are the repeating geometric patterns that are the basic building blocks of life. All of life as we know it is composed of these geometric structures: our physical bodies, cells, DNA, plants, animals, minerals, planets, solar systems, stars, and galaxies. The microcosm and macrocosm are endlessly repeating these archetypal patterns. To the Greeks, these solids symbolized fire, earth, air, spirit (or ether) and water.
The Tetrahedron signifies the element of Fire and is said to correspond to the Solar Plexus. It creates the natural balance between the physical and spiritual. A symbol of balance and stability, it can be seen as a representation of the pyramid of Selfhood.

The Octahedron is said to symbolize the element of Air and corresponds to the Heart Chakra; the center for love and compassion. This shape can move us into a higher vibration of reflection, compassion and healing. By working with the Octahedron, we attune to the more spiritual nature our self and begin to understand our true essence.
The Icosahedron is said to be associated with the element of Water and corresponds to the Sacral Chakra. This shape can assist in enhancing the creative thought process. It may assist in removing any emotional blockages that are disturbing creative energies. The Icosahedron’s association with water teaches us to ‘go with the flow’, letting freedom of expression, creativity and positive change to flow naturally through us.
The Dodecahedron is said to be linked to the element ether and works through the Third Eye, Crown, and higher chakras. It is a perfect tool to use in meditation as the energy held within this sacred shape is said to raise your vibration to facilitate connection to your Higher Self and the Source. The Dodecahedron is said to be an expression of life and consciousness, allowing us to go beyond the vibrations of the physical body and to reconnect with the higher vibration of our true nature.
